Use the limit on your form
Upload rules vary by document. Some set both a minimum and a maximum, so check your form’s current instructions before entering a target. For example, a 2024 NTA bulletin set a 50–300 KB range for certain PDF certificates.
Know what compression changes
This tool rebuilds each page as a JPEG image. It can reduce scanned PDFs, but the new file loses selectable text, links, form fields, and digital signatures. Image-only PDFs need OCR to make their text searchable again, as Adobe explains. If the original fits, keep it.
Check the downloaded PDF
A smaller file can make fine print or stamps hard to read. Open the complete download, check every page at normal viewing size, and confirm its size meets your form’s rule. Very small limits may be impractical for multi-page scans. Processing happens in your browser; the PDF is not uploaded to Olivez.
