Is Olivez AI Studio like ChatGPT?
It has a familiar chat experience, but it runs through AI models on your own computer instead of relying on a cloud chat service.
Does it need an account?
No. You can use the desktop app without creating an account.
Does it need internet?
Internet is needed to download the app and models. After setup, normal chat can work offline.
What is memory?
Memory lets you save important details with your chosen phrase, then ask Olivez about them later. It does not save automatically.
Are my chats uploaded?
No cloud chat API is used. Chats are saved in Olivez storage on your own device.
Will it work on my laptop?
8GB RAM is the practical minimum for small models. 16GB RAM or more is recommended for a smoother experience.
Why can it be slower than cloud AI?
The answers are generated by your own hardware, so speed depends on your computer and the model you choose.
Does it work on Mac and Linux?
The public beta is Windows-first. macOS and Linux support is planned later.
