Overview

Olivez is a desktop app for running local AI chat through Ollama. Olivez does not use cloud chat APIs for model responses. Normal chat runs through the local Ollama engine on your computer after setup.

Local conversations

Conversations, settings, and local app data are stored on your device. Uninstalling or deleting app data may remove locally stored conversations depending on your system settings.

Internet usage

Internet access is required for downloading the app, installing or opening Ollama downloads, downloading local models, and visiting external documentation links. After setup, normal chat can run locally without a cloud chat API.

Attachments

Text files and text-based PDFs may be processed locally so their contents can be included in chat prompts. Image understanding requires a vision-capable local model. Executable and script-like attachment types are blocked inside the app.

External services

Olivez may link to official Ollama, Google model terms, or GitHub release pages. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.
