How to Use the Online Scoreboard
Tap or click a large score to add one point. Use the −1 control below that score to remove one point. Scores stop at zero and cannot become negative.
Press and hold a team’s −1 control for about 700 milliseconds to reset only that team’s main score. A quick press still subtracts just one point.
Select a visible team name to edit it. Team names can also be hidden without deleting them.
Use fullscreen when the scoreboard needs to be seen across a court, classroom, meeting room, or game table. The settings and score controls remain available in fullscreen.
Choose the Right Score Indicator
Choose None when the activity needs only two running totals.
Choose One shared for a round, inning, turn, question number, or another counter that applies to the whole activity.
Choose Two team counters when each side needs its own sets-won or games-won total. Each small counter can be increased or decreased independently.
Shared and team-counter modes remember separate labels and values, so switching modes does not erase the hidden counters.
Reset Scores or Erase Saved Data
A long press on one team’s −1 control resets only that team’s main score.
Reset game asks for confirmation, then returns both main scores and every indicator to zero. It keeps team names, visibility, indicator labels, and the selected theme.
Erase all saved data removes this scoreboard’s saved browser record and restores every default, including names, counters, indicator mode, and theme.
Sports, Quizzes, and Tabletop Games
The scoreboard can track informal basketball, football, volleyball practice, table tennis, badminton, classroom teams, pub quizzes, card games, board games, and tabletop sessions.
It deliberately does not enforce rules, decide a winner, run a timer, or assume how a particular sport awards points. The people running the activity remain in control of scoring.
For regulated matches or official records, use the equipment and procedures required by the event organizer or governing body.
Browser Storage and Privacy
The scoreboard saves team names, scores, indicators, and display preferences in local storage in the current browser. The data is not uploaded or attached to an account.
Saved state is specific to the browser and device. Private browsing, storage restrictions, browser cleanup, or site-data settings may prevent or remove it.
If local storage is unavailable, ordinary scorekeeping still works until the page is refreshed or closed.

What activities can I score?
Use it for any informal two-side activity that awards non-negative whole-number points, including sports practice, quizzes, classrooms, card games, board games, and tabletop sessions.
Can a score go below zero?
No. The −1 control stops at zero.
How do I add or remove a point?
Tap the large score to add one. Use the −1 control below it to subtract one.
How do I reset only one team?
Press and hold that team’s −1 control for about 700 milliseconds. Releasing early subtracts only one point.
What does Reset game remove?
After confirmation, it resets both scores and all indicator counters to zero. It preserves team names, name visibility, indicator settings, labels, and theme.
What does Erase all saved data remove?
It removes this tool’s local browser record and restores the complete default scoreboard.
Are scores saved after I close the page?
They are saved in local storage when the browser allows it. The saved state remains specific to that browser and device and can be removed by browser settings.
Are team names uploaded?
No. Team names, scores, indicators, and preferences remain in the current browser.
Can I hide team names?
Yes. Turn off Show team names in settings. The names remain saved and return when the option is enabled again.
When should I use one or two indicators?
Use one shared indicator for a round, inning, or turn that applies to the activity. Use two team counters for separate sets or games won by each side.
Does the scoreboard support fullscreen?
Yes when the browser provides the Fullscreen API. If fullscreen is unavailable, the scoreboard continues to work in the page.
Which themes are available?
Choose Light, Dark, Court, or High Contrast. Theme selection changes the scoreboard display but not the rest of the website.
Does it enforce official sports rules?
No. It is a flexible manual score display, not an official timer, rules engine, results system, or regulated match record.
