How to Use the Two-Team Score Counter
Tap or click either large score to add one point. Use the −1 button to subtract a point, including below zero.
Select a visible team name to rename that side. In Settings, you can hide team names, add a shared counter or separate team counters, switch themes, swap sides, reset the game, or erase the locally saved scoreboard.
Swap sides moves each team's name, main score, and team counter to the opposite side. Shared counters and display settings stay unchanged.
Scores, Rounds, Sets, and Games
The two large numbers are the main scores. Optional indicators handle a second layer of counting without mixing it into the main total.
Choose One shared for a round, inning, turn, period, question number, or another value that applies to the whole activity.
Choose Two team counters when each side needs its own total for sets won, games won, rounds won, or a similar result.
Switching indicator modes does not erase the other counter values. The shared counter and team counters are stored separately.
Suggested Scoreboard Setups
Use the main score and optional indicator that best match the activity.

Fullscreen Scoreboard
Fullscreen removes the surrounding website controls and gives the scoreboard more display space. The score panels and optional indicators remain interactive while the fullscreen toolbar is hidden.
On supported touch devices, the scoreboard also requests landscape orientation after fullscreen starts. Orientation locking depends on the browser and operating system, so unsupported devices simply keep their current orientation.
For a projector, TV, laptop, tablet, or phone, check readability from the distance where people will actually view the score. Long team names, display brightness, screen size, and viewing angle can all affect visibility.
Local Autosave and Privacy
When browser storage is available, the scoreboard saves team names, scores, indicator values and labels, name visibility, and the selected theme in the current browser.
This is local browser storage, not an online account or cloud backup. A different browser, profile, private session, or device has separate saved data, and clearing site data can remove it.
Team names and scores do not need to be uploaded for the scoreboard to work. If local storage is unavailable, scorekeeping still works for the current page session.
What This Scoreboard Does Not Do
This is a simple manual scoreboard for exactly two sides. It does not enforce sport-specific scoring rules, decide when a game is over, or automatically determine a winner.
It does not include a game clock, countdown timer, buzzer, possession indicator, fouls, timeouts, player statistics, score history, public viewer link, remote controller, or cross-device sync.
For official competition or events that require certified equipment, complete records, or sport-specific controls, use the procedures and equipment required for that event.
Two-Team Scoreboard Examples
Volleyball match
Rename both teams, choose Two team counters, and label them Sets.
The large numbers track points in the current set while the smaller counters track sets won.
The scoreboard displays the values but does not enforce volleyball scoring rules.
Classroom quiz
Use team names, choose One shared, label it Round, and open fullscreen.
The display shows both team totals and the current quiz round.
Table tennis session
Use the large scores for points and label the two team counters Games.
The main numbers track the current game while the smaller counters track games won.
Swap sides
Open Settings and choose Swap sides.
Each team's name, score, and team counter moves to the opposite side without changing the shared counter or display settings.
Correct a scoring mistake
Press −1 beneath the affected side.
That score decreases by one, even when it is already zero or negative.
Start another game
Open Settings and choose Reset game.
Both main scores and all indicators return to zero while names, labels, indicator mode, and theme stay ready for the next game.
Free Online Scoreboard FAQ
Is this online scoreboard free?
Yes. The scoreboard can be used without an account or installation.
How many teams or players can it track?
It tracks exactly two sides. Each side can represent a team, player, pair, classroom group, or another opponent.
How do I add or subtract a point?
Tap, click, or keyboard-activate the large score to add one point. Use the −1 button beneath that side to subtract one point; main scores can go below zero.
Can I change or hide the team names?
Yes. Select a visible team name to edit it. Settings can hide both names without deleting the saved names.
What does Swap sides do?
It exchanges the complete left and right team records, including each team's name, main score, and team indicator. Shared counters and global display settings stay unchanged.
What is the shared indicator for?
It provides one additional counter for the whole activity, such as a round, inning, turn, period, drill, or question number.
What are the two team counters for?
They provide one smaller independent counter for each side, commonly used for sets won, games won, or rounds won.
Does switching indicator modes erase the counters?
No. Shared and team indicator values are stored separately, so changing the visible mode does not reset the hidden counters.
What does Reset game erase?
Reset game returns both main scores, both team indicators, and the shared indicator to zero. Team names, labels, visibility settings, indicator mode, and theme remain.
Are my scores saved after I close the page?
When local storage is available, the scoreboard can restore its saved state in the same browser and device. It is not cloud storage or an online backup.
Are team names or scores uploaded?
No. Core scorekeeping and saved scoreboard state are handled in the browser.
Does fullscreen work on phones?
Fullscreen depends on browser support. On supported touch devices, the scoreboard also attempts to request landscape orientation, but the browser or operating system may reject or ignore that request.
Can I use it for basketball, volleyball, table tennis, quizzes, or board games?
Yes for manual scorekeeping. The scoreboard displays the numbers you enter but does not apply sport-specific or game-specific rules automatically.
Does it include a timer or game clock?
No. This tool focuses on two-team scorekeeping and optional round, set, game, inning, or turn counters.
Can I control the scoreboard from another device?
No. There is currently no public viewer link, remote controller, account sync, or cross-device live control.
