SafeShare File Release Pack

Inventory a local release bundle, flag secrets and risky formats, remove common image metadata, and export an auditable ZIP.

What This Tool Does

SafeShare File Release Pack creates a reviewable boundary before a bundle leaves your device. Supported text is scanned and redacted, common raster images are re-encoded to discard metadata, active-content extensions are excluded, and every decision is recorded in the ZIP manifest.

How to Use

  1. Select the exact files intended for release.
  2. Review filename, active-content, metadata, duplicate, and sensitive-pattern warnings.
  3. Keep unsupported binaries excluded unless you accept that they remain uninspected, then download the audited pack.

How the Analysis Works

Text rules match common credentials and personal data. Raster images are decoded and written into new pixels. Archive names are normalized and a manifest records whether each file was cleaned, excluded, or included unchanged.

Limits and Responsible Use

The tool does not scan malware, unpack nested archives, inspect Office macros, remove PDF metadata, or understand confidential meaning. Run organizational security controls in addition to this preflight.

Examples

Client handoff

Markdown notes, a JPEG, a PDF, and a script

Result: Redacted notes and re-encoded image; PDF excluded unless explicitly included unchanged; script excluded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the resulting ZIP guaranteed safe?

No. It is a bounded preflight with an audit manifest, not antivirus, DLP, or a content-disarm service.

Why are unsupported files excluded?

Including an uninspected file by default would create a false impression that it had been cleaned.
